  • Follow up visit notes

Ok, I tried using the Xanga mobile thing to update, but I could only type so much and I somehow clicked out of the main screen and it was just giving me too much grief to try and update yesterday. Anywho, I’m right on track as far as weight loss goes. I’ve lost 38 lbs since surgery and 68 since my highest weight. Down to 212. (210.9 this morning) Yay! I heard nothing but good things today. They did bloodwork yesterday and if anything is abnormal, they’ll call me. The only thing I can think that would be abnormal is my iron. Whenever I take it, I often have trouble sleeping, so I often skip it. The clinical director suggested taking it during the day and I’m going to start incorporating that to my routine.

My trainer also did my measurements yesterday and even though he hasn’t calculated all my numbers, I’ve lost 10% body fat and at least 10 inches everywhere. My bra size has changed as well. I have to move all my bras to the last hook for them to fit comfortably. Yesterday was just a fabulous day. I did go to the gym but didn’t take many pictures. I’ll have to save those for another day this week.

My next follow-up with the surgeon will be 4 months from now. Yay!

  • Hello, lovers

So I had a fantabulous weekend. Friday, I had a fabulous work-out with my trainer. Legs again, so sumo squats, regular squats and the dreaded lunges. Before I workout, I take pictures. It’s what I do.

    DSCI0335 20120224_084004

Darker eyebrows are so money. I’m liking this look.

Friday is considered Go Texan today, so in my salute to the Cowboys, I wore this.

    DSCI0336 DSCI0339

Thursday was mumsy’s birthday. To celebrate, we went to do our taxes and took pictures in the bathroom.

    20120223_130232

    20120223_130214

I always love pictures with mumsy.

I visited my family today while Jefferson worked and my kid brother said the strangest thing. He was asking me if I was going to be as tiny as my mom. I honestly don’t know. I’ve been overweight most of my life. I don’t know how small I’m going to get. I’m pleased with my progress and for now, I’ll focus on that.

    20120223_173302

Here’s a better picture of the nails. It’s more of a blue blood red and so vixen.

    20120225_201018

Saturday was Chelsea’s birthday celebration. We went to dinner, then hung out at a friend’s house, then went to a strip club. Before the strip club, we decided to stop and wash the car. LOL. Of course, I had to document.

    20120225_161907

I wore the beloved Snooki dress. I always have so much fun in this dress!

    _facebook_-413367188

Aren’t we so beautiful? My boobs look fantastic if I do say so myself.

    DSCI0359

    Me/Jefferson.

    DSCI0358

    Me/Jefferson again.

    DSCI0351

No, you’re not sick of seeing us together, yet.

    DSCI0341

He demanded a full body picture, Napoleon.

    DSCI0345 DSCI0346

A close-up of the make-ups. Darker eyebrows again. Jefferson wanted red lips, so we went for a more classic pin-up look.

    DSCI0347

The present. Yes, we bought her lingerie. Hot, right? I also got her some lush since I know she loves it so much.

    DSCI0348

    DSCI0350

She makes yummy cakes, so of course, this was the birthday bag.

    DSCI0352

With the birthday girl.  The strip club was so much fun. I’ve never been with Jefferson, but I know we had such a good time. Yes, we shared a couple lap dances and holy majole. I think Jefferson thought I was a bit of a prude, but not anymore. I knew I had to go balls to the wall to prove him wrong. Seeing him come back to the group so proud/bragging felt awesome.

    DSCI0364

I went shopping today and scored this sweater dress and a jacket for the black shift dress.

    20120226_131859

I haven’t worn these shoes in years, but felt so glam wearing them today.

    20120226_150933

I finally got a friggity haircut. She gave me medium layers around my crown and mama likey. I have so much volume! In Texas, this is crucial.

Overall, great weekend, plenty of sex, and plenty of relaxation time. Laundry beckons, but I hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well.

  • Some fun pictures

We had an employee appreciation event yesterday that yours truly hosted, organized and planned. While taking pictures, I noticed some pictures I never posted. They’re from the bday party I went to a couple weeks ago. I’m super glamourpuss in these. LOL!

    DSCI0222 DSCI0225

The one thing I noticed in these pics is that my eyebrow pencil is not the right color. It’s either too matchy or just a shade too light.

    DSCI0215

    Me likey this pic.

Over the weekend I had a movie date with Jefferson. We saw Woman in Black. I never like scary movies and this one was no different. Too jumpy for me.

    20120219_191415-1 20120219_191448

My legs are looking so money. These are the shoes I bought over the weekend. Totally office meeting appropriate, right?

    20120219_191805

There’s a slight texture to them, but still plain.

    20120219_192000   20120219_192431-1

    Hello, ankles, I’ve missed you.

    20120218_182630

While out shopping Saturday, I saw a million birds. When I went to Austin a long time ago and met Maan, her husband noted how many birds we had on powerlines. This freaked me out. All those dots are friggity birds. Insane!

    20120219_170115-1

Pretty toes and my weight over the weekend. I’m currently 214. Amazing, right?

    20120220_110223

She works hard for the money and wow I didn’t realize this shirt showed so much cleavage. It did come in handy when picking up groceries for the employee event. LOL!

    20120221_100130

Sometime after the event yesterday. I was exhausted but so relaxed/thrilled that the event went so well. I even have a fan….

    DSCI0236

This guy wanted a picture with me. I didn’t have my belt on, but I still like the pic. Breakfast was so yummy! Gym picture time!

    20120221_163220 20120221_163132

Amazing, right? These were taken yesterday. I’m loving how flat my stomach is getting. I don’t even think I did any ab work last week. We did yesterday, though.

    20120221_162131 20120221_162108

This is the shift dress I bought over the weekend. I’m in love. I really do love to wear dresses and this one fits all the right places. Of course, to be comfortable, I wore my beloved boots.

    20120221_161659 20120221_161808

    20120221_161830

I wanted to wear my snazzy shirt though, so the official outfit was this and my lil black jacket. Some of my sales team showed up to the breakfast and they were commenting on my weight loss. They’re so sweet. They’re totally HR/politically correct in their comments, but its so cute.

    20120221_142303

On my way to the gym. I was so tired, but didn’t want to miss my workout.

    20120221_194516

New nail color time. It’s more of a vixen red but I love my reds. And of course its shellac. Back to work, but good morning, lovelies!

  • Newsworthy update

In today’s news, I had a bit of a shopping extravaganza. My gf loves to shop, my husband had rodeo commitments, so I had a day dedicated to shopping and all things girly. Here’s the shopping outfit:

    shopping ready

Uh, why yes, I’m wearing workout pants. LOL! They fit, they’re comfy and I love them.

    closer

Without the jacket, but it was cold outside. I love, love, love this top. $10 at Marshall’s. Our first stop was Marshall’s and one of the employees there wanted to rip the shirt off me and wear it. I told her I got it there. LOL!

    interview ready

My main reason for shopping was a pencil skirt. None of my skirts are pencil skirts and I’ve been craving one. I do love me some Mad Men.

    rodeo ready

Someone is ready for rodeo. After trying this hat on, I took a picture and I was in love. I love how my hair looks with it. I sent the pic to Cowboy because I wasn’t sure if this was the hat for me. He told me it was sexy and to buy it. Yes sir, er, Cowboy.

    dadbrow

On my way to work out one day this week. I never could arch my brow like this normally, but in the sun I can, just like my Dad.
    profile

You all know I love taking pics at the gym. I’m looking forward to when my boobs stick out farther than my stomach. Soon, I know.

    DSCI0034

Memory lane time. This was me/hubs when we went on a cruise with Jen/Alex. Was that just last year? We look so different now.

    DSCI0074

This is another pic of me in that pink dress. We were going on one of those cruises that served brunch. I look pregnant. I can admit that. I hope I don’t now.

    DSCI0149

This is from our vacation to Wendover last August. None of these clothes fit the same. Your girl has lost not one, two, three, but 4 dress sizes. Those skirts I was trying on are the smallest I’ve tried in such a long time. I was a little sad when the sizes I thought I was didn’t fit. I was looking for a jacket too, but no such luck, all too big. Today I bought a super cute pair of shoes, not as CFM heels as my others, but more professional, demure. I plan on wearing them to work for a big meeting. They’re saucy. I bought a skirt that I will probably return, that hat, a purse, and a shift dress. The shift dress was the big win, besides that hottie hat. I really like the dress and I can hardly wait to get a pic of me in it for you ladies. I was alarmed by the amount of dust in the Tarjay dressing room to take a pic. I’m thinking of actually putting the blue shirt over the dress/jacket and those shoes = power suit. When I was shopping for the shoes, I tried on another pair of plain jane shoes and a lady wanted to open the box of shoes that I really wanted and I told her, plainly, I really like those shoes. I didn’t want her to take them. LOL. First time, I’ve ever done that. I’m glad I did, because the saucy shoes were the amount I wanted to spend too.

After shopping, we went to a late lunch at PF Changs. Yum! Calamari, I’ve missed you. It was sooo good. Thank you baby Jesus. After lunch, was pedicure time. You all know I love to pamper myself. I haven’t taken a feet pic in a long time. Soon. Maybe to show you guys my weight soon…. This morning, I was under 216. One-derland, I’m coming. Make room! My workouts have been pretty intense. My leg workout was especially intense. I lifted more than my current body weight against gravity and I’m pretty proud of that. I also did 10 floors in under 4 minutes on the stairstepper. Things have been getting easier and I’m loving that. One of my sales bosses said this week, I’m starting to see a difference. Of course, I heard something different, something worthy of flipping him off. My response was, you’re starting to see a difference? He quickly crawdadded to, well I finally slowed down and looked at you. You’re looking good. Thank you, sir. Now get out of my office. So, to summarize. I’m 64 lbs down from my highest weight and 34 since surgery. Amazing! The hardest thing has been getting enough fluid in, remembering to take my vitamins and eating more, and having the time to appreciate where I’m at. I’m changing so fast. But, it’s getting easier. Definitely a life changing surgery, and one that I’m proud I had the guts to do. Hubs picked up some clothes from his mom’s and they fit him much better than the ones he’s been wearing. So thankful for that. I hope you all are having a lovely weekend.

  • 7 Week Check-in / Happy Valentine’s Day

So many lessons learned this week. In general, the foods I once loved, aka Whataburger’s chicken tenders, are not tasty anymore. Such a sad day yesterday. The lean meats/veggies are truly what tastes best, keeps me full longer and don’t leave me sick. I’ve tried Fage Greek yogurt. Mmm, so tasty and just sweet enough for me. I like the blueberry version. With all my trial and error, I’m still down to 219. That’s 31 down since surgery 61 from my highest weight. Amazeballs! I’m wearing one of my favorite dresses today, probably for the last time, because it’s too big. Sad face again.

    20120214_060056-1

Face wasn’t made up yet. Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all! of course my super sky high heels are paired with it.

    20120210_083646

I’m loving this lipstick combo. I think I paired my MAC Aristocat (limited edition) lipstick with a nude lipgloss. So pretty!

    beforepink afterpink

I wanted to do another side by side. I was going to wear this beloved pink dress to my Grandmother’s 75th birthday in September last year but the tanlines and my confidence were not high in it. I glammed up for a kid’s bday party over the weekend, and I’m loving how it fits now.

    20120211_191521

Me with the birthday boy. I couldn’t quite figure out the lighting, but I love that I got a pic with him.

    20120211_184047  20120211_184035

    Cowboy with the bday boy.

    20120211_170728

Proud bday mom. Her cake was so yummy!

    20120210_160941

On my drive home Friday. So happy to be going home.

    20120210_171948

When I got home, Cowboy and I went to the gym. He was insistent on wearing these jumbo headphones. He’s lost so much weight.

    20120209_171223 20120209_170920

Because I love my butt so much, I thought I’d highlight it in today’s series. It was yet another thing I didn’t want to lose in this process.

    20120209_171046 20120209_170851 20120209_170951

I’m loving my strong legs and firm booty. Sumo squats aren’t so bad after all, right?

    20120214_055942

Jefferson is so sweet. I must have walked by this card 5 times this morning before I noticed it. So sweet! Happy Valentine’s day, y’all.

  • 6 Week Check-in

Can you believe it? It’s been six weeks since my surgery. Wahoo! I can now eat “regular” food. I haven’t gone crazy or anything, but it’s nice to know I don’t have any restrictions. Everything has been moving along wonderfully. Last night, Jefferson and I went to dinner at this fabulous Mexican place. Best fajitas, salsa, limonada I’ve had in a long time. Beans not from a can? Hallelujah. Everything was just so fresh/delicious! They added cumin to their salsa and let me tell you, that made it the bomb dot com. I really loved it. I asked the waiter/chef/owner if that’s what it was and he told me, no one guesses that. LOL! It was seriously, so yum. I’ve lost another lb. I’ve also managed to shave 5 minutes from my time on the bike. I can now do 4 miles in 15 minutes. Super stoked. Don’t believe me? I have proof!

    20120207_171325

Last week was another milestone as I got to wear my beloved cowboy boots. The stitches along the top are pink in case you can’t tell. I’m so rodeo ready!

    20120203_080523

I loved wearing these. They’re soo purty.

    20120206_082606

Guess who forgot to wear blush on Monday? *raises hand* I bought this top over the weekend. $10 on clearance and so pretty. You all know I’m a magpie and loved to be bedazzled.

    20120206_230514

I went to a Mary Kay thing Monday night and I loved their products so much. They may have a convert. I loved their skincare. My skin felt so amazing after.

    20120207_161746

Of course, before that pampering, I treated myself to another manicure. I love shellac. This is Miami Beet by OPI. It’s a beautiful plummy color. Mama likey.

    20120208_141546

My face is getting so skinny! I’m amazed each and every day.

    20120208_140337

You can see the hair color better in this picture, and some of the highlights. It hasn’t been sunny here in days. I put blush on in this pic.

  • The scale moved!

I’m starting to think that every time I complain about something, it happens. I complained about my trainer not pushing me hard enough and yesterday had to be the hardest workout ever. This week was my first week of going 4 days in a row with no break in between, but I’ve become addicted to going to the gym. I feel lethargic when I don’t. Yesterday’s workout included the following:

-Stretching on my favorite stretch trainer

-20 minutes on bike, level 7 (4 miles!)

-5 minutes/10 floors on stair stepper

    -60 leg raises

    -90 traditional crunches

-60 Sumo squats (held a 20lb barbell between my legs vertically and squat down making sure the weight touched the ground)

    -45 lunges on each leg

-60 regular squats holding a 5lb dumbell in each hand straight out

I was so thankful when we were done with everything. My legs were wobbly, I was dripping with sweat and so ready to go home. We did my measurements before the workout since I never did them this whole time. My BMI went down 6 points this past month and my body fat % went down 2 pts. Yay! When I weighed myself at the gym after the bike/stairstepper, my weight had crept up… Little known fact time! My trainer says that when you workout, your muscles expand and you weigh more. Sweet! My weight this morning was 224.9! Yay! 25lbs down since surgery!

This morning’s best present was that I’m finally wearing a pair of cowboy boots that I’ve never worn. Cowboy bought them for me years ago and they never fit. My feet were too wide, calves too full. It was tragic. I never wanted to return them because they were so fancy and exactly what I wanted. I made him get them from the garage and surprise, they fit! Perfectly! My feet are shrinking! I think he was excited that I was finally wearing them. I’ll be shopping with a gf tomorrow, so I’ll be sure to get some pics. I didn’t take any when I was shopping with mumsy. It’s been rainy here so no pics of the hair yet either, but I’m hoping for some sunshine today.

February 2, 2012

  • Checking in

Good morning, all. What a week already! I’ve been one busy bee. So busy that none of my pants fit. My tightest pair fit loose. They’re not falling off, but there is definitely a breeze going on and they’re supposed to be more of a slim fit. I had to wear a belt today. Boo! I’d take a picture, but it’s horrible. Embarassingly horrible. I wore the breezy pants Monday, a skirt Tuesday and a dress yesterday. I’m definitely more comfortable in dresses/skirts because they’re not ill-fitting, but these pants are hysterical.

Monday, I did 10 miles walking/jogging, squats, lat pull downs, leg extensions and butt blaster. Tuesday I did bike, stair stepper, upper body workout, complete with holding a bar over my head and walking the length of the gym. I think my trainer was getting back at me for making fun of the hot Dad last week. Yesterday I did 6 miles walking, chest press, pull downs, squats. My arms are looking semi-fierce. Mama like. Today, I work with the trainer again on lower body. I don’t complain too much with the trainer, but there are definitely times where I struggle. He had me do 100 crunches and leg raises Tuesday. I’m still sore from that nonsense.

Tuesday I wore another shirt I haven’t worn in years.

    20120131_065237

My brother gave me this shirt when he was dating his ex-gf. Remember her? She used to tell him 215 whenever we’d be out to eat. As in, you used to weigh 215, are you sure you want to eat that? Ugh.

My current brother’s gf dyed my hair on Tuesday. Melikey her much better. Best gf ever! I love the new color. It’s a subtle change, and I need to get a picture of it in the sunlight. I’ll try to do that today so I can share. Here’s one from the office to hold you over.

    20120202_083317

In other news, my weight has stayed the same. I haven’t gained any weight but the numbers haven’t dropped. I’m ok with this. I know that the numbers will drop soon as I keep going to the gym. My muscles are getting more defined and I’ll take that over numbers dropping any day. Inches are always important, right?

Time to get back to work.

  • Camwhoring again

Mumsy helped me build the perfect hottie outfit. I bought a belt to wear with my dresses and a super cute sweater. I also needed pantyhose as my others were fitting me too big. Ta-da, perfect hottie outfit. All I needed was that little black dress and my super hot heels. Here’s what we put together.

    DSCI0208

    DSCI0207

I felt super sexy. We were meeting MIL for dinner and I wanted to look fierce. Mission accomplished. Hubs refused to change into something equally dressy, but me no care. His mom did. She said he looked sloppy and she had a surprise guest coming. Ruh-roh. Hubs does not like surprises of any kind. Any time I’ve tried to surprise him, it’s ended miserably. He got mad at mumsy, mama got upset and I told him he best apologize pronto, mister. He did. She told him it would never happen again. When he was still grumpy pants I reminded him that she already apologized and she understood when he said he doesn’t like surprises. The surprise guest was his church youth director and her husband. They were so cool. I love meeting other couples and these guys were such gems. I need to thank mother in law for setting that up. I’d love to hang out again.

We went to Jessica’s beloved Chuy’s. Hubs and I split chicken fajitas and that was more than enough food for the both of us. The youth director ordered Jess’ favorite Chicka Boom Boom. I was delighted to see that and I told mama bear how good that dish is. She still ordered the nachos. Dinner was super yummy. I loved dipping my chicken into the creamy jalapeno sauce. So yum!

After dinner we took some more pictures. I wanted a picture with Cowboy to show you guys how he’s doing. But, given his outfit…. too big, you can’t really tell. :(

    DSCI0209

Guarding my prize. MIL was smoking so I got this hazy effect going on.

    DSCI0210

Purrrr, I’m in the wild now. LOL!

    DSCI0211

Eyes are closed, but this outfit is way too big for him. He wanted the Chuy’s sign in the background.

Today, we’re going to visit our favorite Lake Jackson couple, Chelsea and David. Yay! Hubs said he misses his gfs. I’m so excited to see them! If we’re not friends on Facebook, why not?

January 28, 2012

  • The official 1 month post op

So my mommy took some excellent full body pics for me. I tried to get Cowboy to do it but wasn’t happening. LOL!

    DSCI0204

The face shot. Simple smokey eye and nude lips

    DSCI0205

    Same bedazzled shirt.

    DSCI0206

Mommy requested this pose. I did legs yesterday. I love working out legs. We did stair stepper, bike, squats, leg press, leg extension/curls and hip machines.

When I was on the stair stepper, I usually do 5 minutes, 10 floors and just get after it. I was done with my first round (I usually do 2 per my trainer) and riding the elevator down, a hispanic guy came up to me.

    “Hablas espanol?

    Un poquito. (a little)

He asked me what the machine was for.

    I pointed to my butt.

    “Bompies?”

    Si.

    “No necesitas.”

    Gracias.

First time being hit on at the gym and in Spanish no less? Mama like. After I said, gracias, I high tailed it away. The trainer asked me if I was going to tell my husband… hmmm. Haven’t yet. If something like this happened to him I don’t think I’d want to know. I’m a jealous b already. When we do go to the gym together, I make sure to be on the machine right next to him, guarding my prize. It did feel good to be hit on, or told I don’t need to work on my butt. Lol. I’m still going to work on it. I want a firm butt, well firm everything, ladies.

This morning’s weigh in was 226. That’s 54 lbs from my highest weight and 23 since surgery. I’m so pleased with my progress. The working out is definitely helping with the continued weight loss. Mom hasn’t seen me in 2 weeks and was delighted at my progress. We’re going to do some running around today, shopping, and tonight is dinner with MIL. She hasn’t seen me since my surgery. Woo hoo!
