  • Newsworthy update

In today’s news, I had a bit of a shopping extravaganza. My gf loves to shop, my husband had rodeo commitments, so I had a day dedicated to shopping and all things girly. Here’s the shopping outfit:

Uh, why yes, I’m wearing workout pants. LOL! They fit, they’re comfy and I love them.

Without the jacket, but it was cold outside. I love, love, love this top. $10 at Marshall’s. Our first stop was Marshall’s and one of the employees there wanted to rip the shirt off me and wear it. I told her I got it there. LOL!

My main reason for shopping was a pencil skirt. None of my skirts are pencil skirts and I’ve been craving one. I do love me some Mad Men.

    rodeo ready

Someone is ready for rodeo. After trying this hat on, I took a picture and I was in love. I love how my hair looks with it. I sent the pic to Cowboy because I wasn’t sure if this was the hat for me. He told me it was sexy and to buy it. Yes sir, er, Cowboy.

On my way to work out one day this week. I never could arch my brow like this normally, but in the sun I can, just like my Dad.

You all know I love taking pics at the gym. I’m looking forward to when my boobs stick out farther than my stomach. Soon, I know.

Memory lane time. This was me/hubs when we went on a cruise with Jen/Alex. Was that just last year? We look so different now.

This is another pic of me in that pink dress. We were going on one of those cruises that served brunch. I look pregnant. I can admit that. I hope I don’t now.

This is from our vacation to Wendover last August. None of these clothes fit the same. Your girl has lost not one, two, three, but 4 dress sizes. Those skirts I was trying on are the smallest I’ve tried in such a long time. I was a little sad when the sizes I thought I was didn’t fit. I was looking for a jacket too, but no such luck, all too big. Today I bought a super cute pair of shoes, not as CFM heels as my others, but more professional, demure. I plan on wearing them to work for a big meeting. They’re saucy. I bought a skirt that I will probably return, that hat, a purse, and a shift dress. The shift dress was the big win, besides that hottie hat. I really like the dress and I can hardly wait to get a pic of me in it for you ladies. I was alarmed by the amount of dust in the Tarjay dressing room to take a pic. I’m thinking of actually putting the blue shirt over the dress/jacket and those shoes = power suit. When I was shopping for the shoes, I tried on another pair of plain jane shoes and a lady wanted to open the box of shoes that I really wanted and I told her, plainly, I really like those shoes. I didn’t want her to take them. LOL. First time, I’ve ever done that. I’m glad I did, because the saucy shoes were the amount I wanted to spend too.

After shopping, we went to a late lunch at PF Changs. Yum! Calamari, I’ve missed you. It was sooo good. Thank you baby Jesus. After lunch, was pedicure time. You all know I love to pamper myself. I haven’t taken a feet pic in a long time. Soon. Maybe to show you guys my weight soon…. This morning, I was under 216. One-derland, I’m coming. Make room! My workouts have been pretty intense. My leg workout was especially intense. I lifted more than my current body weight against gravity and I’m pretty proud of that. I also did 10 floors in under 4 minutes on the stairstepper. Things have been getting easier and I’m loving that. One of my sales bosses said this week, I’m starting to see a difference. Of course, I heard something different, something worthy of flipping him off. My response was, you’re starting to see a difference? He quickly crawdadded to, well I finally slowed down and looked at you. You’re looking good. Thank you, sir. Now get out of my office. So, to summarize. I’m 64 lbs down from my highest weight and 34 since surgery. Amazing! The hardest thing has been getting enough fluid in, remembering to take my vitamins and eating more, and having the time to appreciate where I’m at. I’m changing so fast. But, it’s getting easier. Definitely a life changing surgery, and one that I’m proud I had the guts to do. Hubs picked up some clothes from his mom’s and they fit him much better than the ones he’s been wearing. So thankful for that. I hope you all are having a lovely weekend.
