Cheap Beauty Thrills
Hello, you gorgeous ladies. Looking for a summer glow on the cheap? How about $1? Yes, ma’am, I found it. I had a little ladies night with my girlfriends and my brother’s gf, Heather. Btw, I love her. Finally, my brother found a girly girl I can get glam with. Thank you, baby Jesus. Anywho, since we were going out, we decided to stop by Target to pick up some last minute girly items. She picked up a bronzer from Revlon that was around $6, and I scoured the Elf section. I found the Sunkissed powder and for a $1, I knew we could do no wrong. I made her put the Revlon back. As soon as we got back to the car, we started glam whoring for one another. She put the bronzer on first and holy moly, hot mama coming through. Don’t believe me? Check us out.
It provides this loverly semi-subtle golden shimmer. Of course, I bought myself one and I hope you all try to find this product as well. I found it at Target. There’s a darker shade if you’re not as light as me. I’m an NW 20 in MAC terms or Medium Plus in their Mineralize Skinfinish powder foundation. For $1, this is quite the cheap thrill. To hear me babble on, please click the vid below.
And since I have a video of the last day I will be 30 years old, how about some pictures?
Isn’t that powder lovely? I love the subtle gold sheen. It complements my honey tinged hair perfectly.
$1 Bronzer = awesome.

So whats the brand? Elf?
@RizzlGrizzl - Elf is the name of the brand. You can find it at Target, Kroger, Kmart and independent grocers. It’s also available online at Eyeslipsface.com.
OK I have found the Elf stuff and I picked up the bronzing palette type thing- it’s 4 colors that you can swirl together to make a highlighting/bronzing powder. (I think it was one of the $3 items though, not just $1. I also have a $1 liquid eyeliner from them that is pretty good.) Anyway, I CAN NEVERRRR make mine look as good as yours does!! I swear to God I am makeup incompetent. I am going to have to try this $1 bronzer and see if I can’t make it work on me because it looks so good on yall!
@jessicass - I recommend a flat top brush for bronzer. Elf has one, I think it’s their powder brush and it has a flat top. Get some on the brush and work it around the perimeter of your face. I like to do it in a 3 E format, so over the eyebrow, curved down the hollow of your cheek and then along your jawline on both sides. I bring it down the nose from the gap between my eyebrows right on down to the tip. Once there’s no product left on my brush, I buff it in a bit more to make sure I don’t have streaks on my face. No girly girl wants that. A drag queen maybe. Practice, practice.
you so pretty!
@X_naomi_X - thank you!
You are so GD good with your makeup! I will go pick up this bronzer, though. I love their lipsticks and such but haven’t tried the bronzer yet.
@Lushy - Thank you! I haven’t tried their lipsticks. Any favorites? I love their regular eyeshadow brush. It’s my go-to for laying down color on my lid or just under my brow.
One day when you have time, I would LOVE for you to come over and give me a makeup lesson and a half.
Quite useful info, thank you for the article.
