  • My follow-up visit

Last year, my doc suggested I see an internist to follow up on my elevated liver enzymes. I put it off long enough and went to my liver doc today. While there isn’t much news to report, he’s scheduling an ultrasound and more labs to try to find the cause for whatever elevated liver enzymes my OB reported. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but ick. I’m hoping whatever is wrong can be reversed. When one thinks of liver problems, you probably picture an alcoholic, but I’m so not. I have maybe one drink a week, if that. The thing he said that was a bit disheartening was that weight loss surgery/weight loss might not reverse the problem. That was hard to hear. Again, he doesn’t even know what’s wrong, he was totally guessing, but I’m hoping it’s something that can be fixed, ASAP.

I keep missing my trainer appointment times too. I’m still going to the gym, but the weather we’ve been having is making it difficult to meet with the trainer. Boo.

In other news, my brother is a ka-douche (one of my new words meaning extra douchey). Since my mom went back to school, she’s met some younger friends. Her bff at the moment is 22 and adorable, and we all love her. She had a crush on my brother which they of course acted on and my brother managed to eff that up. It’s not totally effed, but seriously, this girl is a gem. I’m praying my brother realizes this quickly before he loses her. She just blends with the family. Not in a omg she’s just like us, but more of a complimentary fashion. I adore her.

The house is all good. We had a fridge issue, but it was an easy fix. Guess what my electricity bill was for 2 weeks… guess! $25. Isn’t that insane? My older brother was smart and installed those halogen 3watt bulbs everywhere, but damn, that is some serious savings. Thank you, brother! I’ve made some delicious dinners around here. My latest was a terriyaki chicken concoction with mushrooms, zucchini, onions and red wine. It was damn good too.

I’m still kicking ass at work, training my peers and I even managed to curl my hair and put make-up on before going to work twice this week. That’s no easy feat, dearies. I like my sleep and the cold weather makes me want to stay in bed longer.

My husband finally started his sales position. He’s big pimping in a mini-van. LOL. I’m not complaining, but it’s funny seeing him ride around in a soccer mom vehicle. LOL!

  • Just FYI, there is a  Sears outlet on the way southside of town. Its freaking awesome for appliances.  I got my fridge for over 50% off because there is a dent in the side.

  • wait a minute… your OB? Am I missing something?!!
