Mexico Update
Mama is recovering nicely. Her surgery went well and she had absolutely no pain post-op. I was so relieved. Hubs and I visited her the night of her surgery and she was feeling wonderful. She didn’t remember seeing us the next morning, but she was still in good spirits that day. The service from her doc was top notch. He had a driver pick us up at the airport when we arrived, took us to the hotel, then took us to lunch where we had the most delicious gorditas ever. I loved the driver. He was just so sweet and with my mom and I in true form we got his life story in a matter of minutes. I truly hope he finds happiness. I know marriage isn’t for everyone, but happiness should be.
The doc himself picked my mom up from the hotel that night, did her full consult, and took her to the hospital the next day for her surgery. Curbside service. Everything was. I wanted to go to the dentist while we were down there and I’m so glad I did. I may never go to a dentist in the states again. The dentist was a referral from the dr. my mom had. He picked hubs and I up from the hotel, took us to his super nice office and did both our cleanings, then took us back to the hotel. Curbside service. Loved that dentist too. I learned something I’ve never known/learned from my dentists here. An overbite is the ideal bite. I’ve always longed for an inline bite, but that type of bite causes ridges in your upper or lower teeth and eventually causes a wear in the top or bottom teeth enamel. An overbite protects your front row teeth. I’m feeling really lucky to have my overbite.
We had a great time in Mexico. We didn’t do anything too crazy. Truth be told, it was lots of naps, playing cards with mumsy, shopping, and hanging out with that infamous friend of the family who lives in Monterrey. He took us to dinner (cabrito). Our waiter looked like a young, steamy, Marlon Brando. Had the dimples and everything. I had a lovely chat with that infamous friend while hubs was in the bathroom. He seemed settled and happy in his marriage. His children changed him and I was happy to see all those changes. Dedication to a marriage is something I always admire. I never want to be the sleep in seperate bedrooms marriage my grandparents had. I never understood that.
Our driver took hubs and I and another patient back to the airport yesterday. The patient lost her tourist visa and customs in Mexico don’t like that. She had to pay a fine. I’m thankful mama made sure me/hubs kept ours. That paper is $97 if you lose it.
Work is going to kick my ass these next few days. Bossman came into my office expecting all kinds of wonders and hopefully office boss and I will be able to achieve that. I had a drink or three tonight in anticipation. Time to turn it on.

Lots of naps. Now that’s what I call a vacation for sure! I love site seeing one day and totally staying in and vegging the next.
